This book blends many different philosophies and gives the message that using astrology can be a tool to self-understanding and transformation. I see now, that it is not a mysterious tool of divination but that it can be used to examine our existing beliefs, and that it is up to us what we do with that knowledge.

An Exceptional Astrology Book

This is a book I would have liked to have had years ago. The ideas in this book challenge the reader to look at the responsibility they have for their own lives, and begin to teach how to do this using astrology.
The individual interpretations of placements are basic. The author has delved to the core of the meanings of the archetypes from a psychological perspective. The results are dynamic, all-encompassing (yet specific to the placement) keys, with which to begin delineations. This is something that has been lacking in many other astrology books with more shallow definitions.

There are several example delineations of charts which take the reader through the process of using this information in a complete chart, showing how the insight from the previous chapters can be used to "read" a chart.

Definitely a work of text-book caliber, not a coffee-table book.

Informational Paradigm For The 21st Century
This very excellent book by Mr. Wollmann is an absolute must in the library of anyone examining the art/science of Astrology! I have studied astrology under Ivy Jacobson, Cardinal LeGros and Jeff Mayo. Mr. Wollman writes in the manner of the old masters. With great respect for his readers, his thoughtfulness in providing additional references and explanatory comments is an essential part of his expertise in his presentation. Noting that it is Volume One, I can only be thankful that it will not be the last - with more excellent writings ahead!! A MUST buy!!

Mr. Wollmann:

1- Please let me know when your next book is published.

2- I'm glad I didn't listen to the review in "Aspects" magazine regarding your book. If I would have I would never have purchased your book!'

3- But I have studied astrology since 1965 (under Ivy Jacobson and Cardinal LeGros) and I love your book! I love your use of the Moody Blues who I also love!!"

4- Your book embodies my belief that a recognition of validity should create the real paradigm of the 2lst century - in that the blending of wisdom is the proper path!
Thank you so much for your wonderful work!

I would like to comment that I am still reading "The Integrated Astrological Guide to..." and haven't read a more profound book in a long time. I have studied Astrology for a little over 10 years now and have always felt that it could be more than the cookbook definitions. I have always been intrigued by the works of Dane Rudyhar and your book gives Astrology a practical and psychological aspect that can be of great benefit. Thank you for the work. It has helped me in doing consultations and working with myself.

The perfect book to close off the Millennium.
If one were to look for one specific book to bridge the gap between 20th century understanding of astrology and the way in which the astrological discipline appears to be headed in the new millennium, Mr. Wollmann's masterpiece would indeed be that work. Authoritative, innovative and very well researched, this book will doubtlessly serve as a model for how astrology books are written in the decades to come.

An Excellent Christmas Gift for the Astrology Buff.  I found Edmond Wollmann's book to be well written and quite amusing. So much so that I bought several copies. In past years I did not know what to get my astrologer friends for Christmas. This year Edmond Wollmann has solved the problem by providing me with the perfect gift for the yuletide season. I know my friends are just going to love this book.

A Refreshing and Inspiring Book!
The title of this book is truly an accurate description of what is included...integrated, because it brings together astrology, an abundance of philosophies and religion, psychology, and science; and shows their connections. Astrological descriptions in the book are keys to planet/sign/house placements and combinations, and are approached from a psychological/spiritual point of view.
They describe the foundation of a chart, helping to uncover the source of motivations. I think this idea is one of the most valuable. My understanding according to this book is that we have a choice in how we manifest these motivations in our lives. We are -not- expected to accept a previously-conceived, limited interpretation of an aspect or placement, which assumes what our choices have been and will be. It guides astrological delineation with a section on the steps of delineating a chart, and contains several charts demonstrating this process. It's also a guide encouraging self-empowerment: Understanding, acceptance, and responsibility--with keys to the realization of individual choice and personal transformation. The sections discussing philosophies, etc. can be read and re-read, each time triggering new insights and discoveries.

The Most Innovative Astrology Book in Decades!
Astrology has been in a slump. Between astrologers who believe the planets cause things and sun sign horoscopes which yield little understanding, but which have become the calling card for astrology, there has been little to move astrology ahead in recent years. Finally, there comes a book which dares to combine astrology with psychology and with modern spiritual thought. This is the best book of astrology I've read in years. If you read no other astrology book, read this one, a must for students of astrology, astrologers and all those interested in astrology.

Excellent book that synthesizes material across disciplines
This book is unique for astrology in that it synthesizes material from astrology, psychology, channeling and new age thought. The book is similar to The Holographic Universe in scope but The Integrated Astrological Guides also includes astrology; this is a ground breaking book and is a must for astrologers and for those interested in self-empowerment. Bravo, Mr. Wollmann!
