Venus, Uranus, and sexual/relationship perspectives

Developmental aspects between Venus and Uranus (or declinations, parallels or contraparallels) reflect the need for the individuality to be awakened (Uranus) through reflection and relationship (Venus). There may be avant garde expressions through social and personal relationships, intensity and impulsivity. It reflects the need for the unusual in relationships, for them to be accelerative, creative, different, "spiced up", awakened, diverse, free wheeling, unattached, unconventional and the need to explore relationships is the primary energy reflection of belief. It is a choice of definition in this life to do this exploring.

There are many ways that an individual can do this exploring; homosexuality being one of them (if it is considered avant garde), but it does not CAUSE it. It is a choice to do so as a resolution to the developmental need to explore and emphasize individuality in relationship. A diversity of relationships is another. Bi-sexuality is another.
Polygyny is another, Necrophilia, and the paraphilias, pederasty (sex between adult male and child was accepted as normal in early Roman rituals), polygamy, courtly love, serial monogamy, polyandry (where the woman has several lovers and the man just her), voyeurism, exhibitionism and on and on! If these ideas conflict with, expand, challenge, or disrupt, the norm in the societal structure and belief system in which it occurs. These all can be choices in the resolution of the above described tensions. This information is available as well at your local college and University in most sexual interactions courses.

The avant garde remember must be taken in the context of the societal structure in which it occurs. In many African tribes for example it would be considered avant garde for a woman to ENJOY sex. In many societies it may be considered avant garde to have only one spouse. In some Inuit or Eskimo cultures it was considered rude to reject intercourse when one's wife was offered to a guest.
In these societies therefore these individuals may be the ones with Uranus/Venus contacts. There are no universal truths, because there is no one truth. Each individual truth is weighed against the backdrop of the belief structure in which it occurs.

It would then be considered Avant garde in the collective reality agreement in which it occurs (please see topics on observer bias, collective reality, the nature of reality).
Astrology can only define parameters of archetypal experiences which manifest psychologically as needs, how these needs are expressed, frustrated or fulfilled is not "shown" in the chart, it is reflected in the individual's approach by the type of energy expressed (see self-empowerment and negative and positive) and their free choices.

To limit the way in which these needs might be chosen to be expressed, is to impose limitations on the reality of the individual so configured; this is neither astrological, life enhancing nor positive. Yes, we may be able to perceive momentums of likelihood, commonality, or societal expectations, but these must not become mandates.
Thank you for allowing me to share this idea. If it works for you, use it. If it doesn't don't. It is simply my best assessment at this time with this knowledge and this understanding of this idea.

What is "better"? Positive or negative energy... ?

The universe is precisely balanced between negative and positive energy. Let me say at the outset that this has absolutely nothing to do with "good and bad". Good and bad are subjective value judgments and really tell us little about the nature of any idea, but much about the observer, and their "frame of references."

Because the universe is so balanced between the two it is inherently positive. In other words to be so balanced is positive itself. But the whole of existence is in existence because this polarization externalizes and manifests the "All That Is" from nonphysical into physical. Duality is the effect of white light being "slowed" and splayed into its constituent "colors" which "fragment" a single concept into its polarized components.(please see  the prism with refracted light).

Which brings us to negative aspects. Please understand "affliction" as another word for dis-ease. A state of being in which contradiction, conflict and the need for resolution exist unresolved. This state of being of lack of resolution allows organisms to attack because of the belief in separation and hence powerlessness. But negative aspects are not inherently in a state of dis-ease, nor are they "bad." It is the resistance to growth implied (and belief in separation) in this aspect that is reflected as a need of the person's psyche, that all pain and suffering are the effect of. By fulfilling this need we bring back together (positive energy) that which was believed separate.

Squares and oppositions seek resolution and fulfillment towards ease (trine). This is not inherently "bad" nor difficult. This actually implies awareness of the paradoxical nature of "things". Tension is required to walk upon the earth. The resistance of our legs to the constant pull of gravity allows us to move instead of remaining in a motion-less state (please see my discourse on e-motion). Without developmental tension nothing moves. Action is a physical world parameter and choice. It is negative energy that drives the material universe. If these aspects are seen in preponderance in the chart it reflects a powerful developmental potential. In the Horoscope, like the universe, balance is important. It is the judgment of tension as "bad" that creates anxiety. It is the welcoming of tension that is felt as excitement. Tension is essential for growth. Ease is not necessarily "good" and tension is not necessarily "bad", therefore, there are no good and bad aspects!

The positive aspects of trine and sextile are the areas where tension's resolution is found. They allow for the integration and instinctual expression of developmental tension. Self-empowerment is the recognition that you chose this chart that you have now for a reason, the hallway of your developmental choice. You are always creating your reality 100%, even if it is only to demonstrate the reality you do not prefer.

It is the negative aspects that need attention; the trines support the squares. What awareness or resolution can be gleaned from this square or opposition? There is no end to any synchronistic spiral be it positive OR negative. Therefore choose the energy you wish to initiate it with, wisely. There will be levels higher and higher to be explored in regard to that developmental awareness that can be achieved, welcome it. The positive aspects have nothing to support and ease if developmental tension is not acted upon. Negative aspects are your prescription for action chosen before incarnation, and aspect patterns are the psychological reflection of how these things are dealt with by the personality. Psychology is simply the understanding of the exchange of psychic material consciously and unconsciously and the resulting behavior therefrom. It is an analysis of the individual's beliefs about their ability to manifest themselves.
Positive and negative aspects tell us the identity's belief in the ability to manifest, integrate, and express the idea that they are. Please encourage them in their ability to do so. It is belief and approach that determines effect extracted. It can be an exciting exploration of consciousness, the waking up to other levels of knowingness (Uranus) instead of perceived external limitation and threat (Saturn). The choice, of course, is yours.

"I suffer nought against my will, I am not obedient to God, I am in accord with him, and the more so, because I know that everything takes place in virtue of an immutable law proclaimed from all eternity."
"Sucipe" a prayer St. Ignatius

How does Pluto and Charon reflect the transformation process...?

As the inconjuncts reflect by their energy (Virgo/Scorpio) with regard to the natural template first house and sign (Aries), it is the adjustment of perspective and mental view or transcendence of the self (please see my self awareness and conviction post) that is being adjusted in the inconjunct. The ruling planets of these signs also reflect this "adjustment" and alteration of view from their orbital tilt. Mercury has a 7 degree tilt and Pluto 17!
This allows them to "look down" at the "typical" plane of planetary orbits within the solar system and therefore reflect the idea of "adjusted" thinking and perspective. This occurs in preparation analytically (Virgo) to meet the self and its projections when the self's creations (Leo) reap (Virgo) the reflected projection of their distribution (Libra) and the transformation of perspective of the conscious self after that projection has been encountered (Scorpio).
Pluto, therefore, reflects and represents the alteration of perspective necessary in physical reality to transcend simple ego limitations and self-focus (Aries) and express the ego in the higher self format (Sagittarius )instinctually with trust in the less conscious aspects of the persona. This is why the e-motion or energy-motion of the beliefs held may be so powerful at Scorpio. Because these momentums that are unconscious beliefs are being purged from the self"ish" orientation of the physical self, to allow for transcendence and expression of the higher self. This is reflected, and was reflected, in the Christ consciousness, the idea of resurrection and the power of the self over the limits of physicality (Saturn) through surrender to the higher self will (Neptune).
Here Bashar corroborates this idea;

What's our name-the combined idea?(the collective consciousness of any system)

It can be generally referred to as any one of the names that represent the overall collective consciousness within each and every civilization. Thus for Sirius it would be Siskeen, and for us, Shakana. For you it is the Christ consciousness. In general, any alignment with Arcturus is simply a representation of another threshold and a doorway that you are going through. You will find that in your cosmology your moon specifically represents
many of the ideas of your sub- and unconscious awareness now coming to the surface. Also your Pluto alignment is generally representative of the transformation across a threshold that you previously would have considered to be the idea you call death-but which now represents a transformation into a new type of life.

I understand the concept, but could you give us an example of the threshold?

The threshold we are referring to is the transformation taking place on your planet from third to fourth density. That is the overall threshold. Every single symbol within your reality that has any relationship to transformation is all generally a part of that.
The specifics are up to you to determine for yourselves, although as we have said, the idea of your moon does to some degree represent the idea of your subconscious and unconscious awareness coming to the surface. The idea of Pluto is the actual journey involved across the threshold itself. In this same archetypical manner you have described the myth you call the crossing of the River Styx. This puts you in touch with what you previously assumed to be the darker regions of your consciousness. It is another way of saying that you enter the blending of your positive and negative polarities, and therefore allow yourselves, in the crossing of that threshold, to glean only a positive effect out of the blending of the positive and the negative. This is why you have intuitively labeled Pluto's moon with the same name as the ferryboat driver that drives you across the mythological river Styx . . . Charon.

The rising sign or ascendant and self-projection

Because the rising sign is based on the moment of birth (and place), it reflects a very specific definition of the identity. It reflects the point of entry and exit of the Sun/Moon blend and the interaction point for the remainder of the horoscope's configurations. It indicates the definition the identity BELIEVES it needs in order to express the idea that has been chosen to be expressed as the overall "path". It is the "Mask" the persona will wear while acting it's part in physical reality. Therefore, the light of the persona will be shown and seen through the filter of the ascendant. The planetary ruler of the ascendant (i.e. Aries ascendant would be ruled by Mars) and it's sign and house placement, describes the area of life (house); corroborating template focus (the sign placement of ascendant ruler); and ease or dis-ease in it's blend with other areas of functioning that are represented in the remainder of the birth chart (aspects).
The physical appearance of the identity is made up of the trinity of persona; Sun+Moon+Ascendant. Planets near the ascendant or in the house also color this projection, self definition, and physical appearance.

ARIES- Unless Mars is in a difficult or repressive condition (retrograde), the expression of this identity definition is ardent, direct, vital, naturally aggressive and has a very strong need to project the self as quickly and spontaneously as possible. Identity in the act of becoming. The personality- no matter what other configurations- will present itself through action and impulse. Possibility of recklessness.

TAURUS- The self projection and definition seeks stability and establishment. The presentation of the self is calm and focused. The identity definition and self projection revolves around issues of worth. Venus' position corroborates further identity definition indices.

GEMINI- Mutable signs on the angles(1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th), reflect dissipated energy application. Physical focus is weak, mental focus and flexibility is strong. This ascendant will define an identity that is expressive, articulate, diverse and needs to be seen as intelligent.

CANCER- Cancer is a very reflective and impressionable sign. As a form of identity projection, this sensitivity will be shown by an individual who absorbs, then reflects whatever environment they may find themselves in. The personal projection will exude kindness, and may be rather reserved in definition. The Sun/Moon blend will be especially important in analysis, particularly the Moon, as this body will be the lens of the ascendant.

LEO- Extroversion would best describe the energy of this ascendant. The need to project a dramatic version of whatever energies are inherent within the birth chart will be evident. Magnanimity and a breadth of vision shun petty issues. Unless more down to earth energies are reflected through the remainder of the horoscope, the identity may be manipulatable through appeals to ego reinforcement or "flashy" without substance.

VIRGO- There is a strong sense of service towards an ideal. Self projection may be limited and focused unless the Fire element is well represented. There is also a strong need to be analytically correct, to say and do the "right" things. Changeability is toned down in this mutable ascendant because of the Earth element.

LIBRA- Amiability. The need to be socially accepted will be very apparent. Also a strong concern about the physical appearance. On the positive side, the reflective tendencies take focus off of the self and increase sharing. On the negative side, acquiescence makes the self's true stand of opinion or loyalty, elusive.

SCORPIO- The definition will be reserved, cautious, and secretive based on an extreme fear of being taken advantage of. The empowered Scorpio ascendant will be fearless and emotional insight keen. Depth of feeling. Confrontation welcomed. The dis-empowered will exhibit manipulation and little objective perception of the self. As an analogy of manipulation fears, the game of poker serves well. The identity would need to know all the opponent's cards (and would use any tactic to ascertain them), and not allow anyone to know theirs, just to feel equal to the game.

SAGITTARIUS- A definition of personal freedom. Travel as an effect of the need to expand the identity, or it's mental influence. As long as stability is shown elsewhere, integrity is usually the mode of operation. Beliefs and intellectual property issues, honesty or ethics and breadth of vision may be issues of self definition.

CAPRICORN- The identity definition is very down to earth, and not likely to indulge in speculation. The here and now is the immediate concern. Practical and organized. A very strong belief that physical reality exists outside the individual. Saturn's placement will be very important in analysis.

AQUARIUS- There is a brightness of individuality expression. Being defined differently is very important. Creativity must be applied or the identity will find anything to "rebel" against. Uranus' position will define what ideas and issues the identity believes it must break free from.

PISCES- A non-threatening posture. The identity unconsciously recognizes itself as a part or "All That Is" and may find projection in terms of *I* distasteful. Unless strength is shown in other configurations the definition of self may be elusive and problematic. A very sensitive and idealistic and perhaps sentimental ascendant.

Venus as the Mind/Matter Mirror

Venus-the planet whose symbol looks like a hand mirror, reflects our needs and beliefs toward personal (Taurus) and social (Libra) reflection (Tyl). Because reality-(physical reality that is) is necessarily -by definition- made of polarities, counterparts, reflections, shadows and reflected "parts"that on the spiritual or non-physical levels are one, we therefore create the idea of Venus as a way to understand this polarity.

A way to reflect back to us the idea that we are the reality we have chosen to play the game of existing outside of us, so we could look at certain lines or specificity of idea manifestation or experiences. Hence Venus is the symbol for the concept of mind in matter-or the mind/matter mirror.

The "Mask of Eternity" a relief that stands just outside Bombay India is the metaphor; a symbol of the effect of transcendent God manifesting in the masculine and feminine polarized "versions" of itself. One face in the center (the transcendent one c) and a male face (a) on one side and female (z) on the other looking out and AWAY from center, represent and reflect what God appears as in physicality. The polarized version in matter.

Therefore, because we create this definition of separateness (Mars, the first house and the idea of "birth" within time) from the undifferentiated wholeness "All That Is," the planet Venus acts as the reflective mirror for the parts of us that we are not focused on in this life (please see my article entitled "The Jupiter/Uranus Conjunction: Intellectual Revelations" and observe the moment we stepped foot on the moon-the moon itself was conjunct the 0 degree Uranus/Jupiter conjunction in Libra). We meet these other reflections of the self through relationships (Libra) and through "things" (Taurus) that we may possess-these are our other resources of the self. Hence, Venus represents personal and social reflections that are projected by us, outside of us. It's reversed spin, like that of Uranus, keys us into the need to sometimes go against the "grain" of accepted flow, to "shine brightly."

If we believe ourselves incomplete, then our relationships will reflect the idea of incompleteness. If we know we lack nothing, that we are complete as we are-perhaps just focused differently for the moment-but complete none-the-less, then we will see this manifested version of the self.
The first division of self comes in the form of an apparent separation from self and resource (Aries/Taurus) and full separation occurs at Libra, where the self is encountered in apparently separate "others"(which also is reflected in the "externalization"in the physical manifestation of belief, of any aspect by opposition).

Are there really others? Of course, but our version of them is shown and reflected through our beliefs and definitions about relationship that we then project into these relationships. Much negativity has been thrown at projection-:-) but it is the effect of being incarnate in the focus of physicality and is not inherently "bad". It is just another way to experience the self. We create ourselves at a lower vibration that compartmentalizes aspects of the oversoul self.

All the below are the basic energy motions (beliefs) that all derivations of effect about these aspects come from.

Venus in developmental tension or conjunction with;

Mars=reflects beliefs of competition in relating to the reflection. The need to compromise through the recognition that the reflection IS the self. A strong belief in the separation of the masculine and feminine.

Moon=emotional security concerns that establish identity are believed separate, hence social acceptance issues are highlighted. Insecurity about popularity. Deprivation fears are tied to reflections.

Jupiter=exaggeration of personal popularity to gain access to broader views through idea interaction, possibly from beliefs of scarcity in the same area. Overdoing the reflective needs from the disbelief in finding same. The need to have the beliefs and opinions recognized by others for ego validation.

Saturn=the fears and giving of power to physicality are brought into relationship needs. Strategy, material concerns and mistrust color interactions with reflections. There is conservation from the fear of "loss" which of course results in "loss" if the belief is not seen and redefined.

Uranus=the need for explorations and waking up to the unconscious knowledge regarding the self through reflections. There may be temperament and impulsiveness in following reflections in this search. Needs for the avant garde in relationship usually resulting from repression of natural aggression. The need to recognize choice in
relationship.

Neptune=the unreal, camouflage spirituality are introduced into the reflective needs. This is the sensitive and dissolution of barriers between the other and the self. There can be co-fusion (the positive aspect of recognizing the self IN the other) or con-fusion (the negative perception of identity LOSS from reflection interaction).

Pluto=Because of the need for emotional significance (from feelings of "smallness") the needs for power because of the disbelief in enough of it are brought into relationship. Power struggles, jealousy, envy and "poker playing and bluffing" with emotional expressions can be the negative effects of this disbelief in self power. Positively, the
individual can come to the recognition through this developmental process that the self is reflected through others and that they serve in that way to show the individual where they believe they lack emotional significance and feel powerless.

The Key...?

I have discussed often the idea of  trusting one's reality. With the horoscope, as we learn to identify those symbols that reveal the identity to us, it is through the active application of the knowledge that we learn, which allows us to use the symbols and unlock the insight into the psyche.
When we use a system of application and delineation (please see delineation steps) this practical application of mechanistic understanding becomes a guide, not a "science." It can only lead us to insights and understandings empathetically of the individual or situation at hand. It is the composite knowledge and understanding that we glean from other life experience and knowledge that then blends with this key and leads us to empathic accord with the chart and/or the person.

The chart is a tool, a prop. Like physical reality, it reflects the idea that is being expressed and experienced (reality), that is being created by all involved including the counselor. Making connections may very well be a subjective experience for both client and counselor. But this in no way invalidates the discoveries that are to be found or the movement in the psyche, anymore than the Chiropractor's adjustments are irrelevant to body's energy flow.

It is the blending of logical analysis, intuited understanding, and empathic desire to serve, that combine to aid and assist us when we interact with the client. There is no amount of critical analysis that can ever dictate the transformation of perspective and movement out of obscurity, because it is the effect of heart, mind and soul expressed as action from intention.

I offer inspiration, trust and insight as the keys beyond logical analysis, a knowingness that simply comes from trusting that which cannot be known. If this serves please use it, if it does not, please ignore.
Thank you for allowing me this co-created and continued sharing, your sharing is a gift.

But be forewarned: I insist upon responsibility

Crack the lock, swing wide the door, set the
secrets free;
to learn the lessons they reveal may take humility
and abiding trust in creation's synchronicity

Once access has been gained, there flows a
synergy,
accelerating those who seek to be all that
they can be
and imbuing life, wisdom, and pervasive clarity

For every block and every lock, there is the
perfect key,
forged by blending heart, mind, and soul in
joyous harmony.

I am the symbol that perpetuates self-sufficiency
and provides the tool to integrate in eternal unity
